The general adjoint functor theorem is a set of sufficient conditions to ensure that a Continuous functor $R:\mathcal{C}\to\mathcal{D}$ has a Left Adjoint:

• $\mathcal{C}$ is a Complete, Locally Small Category
• $R$ satisfies the Solution Set Condition
